Vincent Bouchard's passion for wine and wood is inherent as he is preceded by eight generations of French winemakers. During his childhood he would work alongside his father, co-director of Bouchard Pere et Fils winery in Beaune, in the family's 200 acres of Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards.
All school holidays were spent working in the vast family-owned forests in Burgundy, Nevers, Allier and Vosges. Led by his grandfather and two older brothers he would walk for miles and miles to evaluate trees for the anticipated oak harvest. Today Vincent works with 6 cooperages as a worldwide exporter of oak barrels. Vincent is also the owner of Quinta do Tedo, a remarkable producer of port and wine from the Duoro region of Portugal.
